The long set dedicated to the postal architecture continues, in this case with an issue dedicated to Donostia - San Sebastian

The main post office is in the Urdaneta street, close to the neogothic cathedral of the Buen Pastor. It was build between 1906 and 1909, according to project of the architect Domingo Aguirrebengoa, although initially it was destined to being the School of Arts and Offices

The building has a public monumental character, with a French and International eclectic style very popular at the time.
The façade include neoRenaissance details, as the socle or, as it shows the image on the issue, the frontons on the main balconies. Unfortunately the interior have many modifications.

We finally emphasize that the current issue is the first ATM to use the Euskera language in the text (Posta Arkitektura. Donostia).
